I’m mostly happy. The brown color is nice, the issue I’m having is the brown grain look is all a sticker. The shelf that has a hole in it is peeling and bubbled. It’s going to end up causing me issues. I could have sent back but they are installed and would have been a huge pain. Be careful and inspect each piece.

My cat is 11 yrs old and 19lbs. I thought I had all the pieces in at least 1 stud but I’m not the handiest girl out there. I think my stud finder was cheap and I’ve made enough holes in my wall. The concept is amazing and I so wish my cat was more active and into this thing. I would place her on the top part and she never figured out how to get down and would throw her fat old self off of it. And that’s high. I love it so much but had to return due to my cats lack of interest and because I couldn’t fit it properly onto my wall and it started to bend.

I agree with Brian who said in his review that the order they’re laid out in the picture/manual is awkward for a cat.Now I tried two versions before we settled on this one. To the right of the bottom shelf, is a window ledge.In the end… we turned over the top shelf with the cut-out so that it was facing away from the shelving. She wasn’t going to use the cut-out and tbh, we’re just going to get an air plant to put in there.The shelving is sturdy. We tried to go into studs but our unit is old so that was hit or miss. So we used the anchors on all three and for an 11lb cat, it’s more than enough.We’re very happy with these. And worst case scenario if that cat didn’t use them, they would look cool just as shelving with some lightweight plants or items.

The cats love this playscape, but it was not easy to install.1. First of all the long metal pins that are soldered to the backplate do not align with the box holes, so they need to be adjusted left or right by tapping with a hammer to align the pins with the holes in the boxes. The boxes slide over the pins to fit snuggly against the wall.2. The predrilled holes in the bottom of the boxes do not align with the predrilled holes in the metal pins, so you need a powerful drill and a strong arm to drill thru the metal and set the screws to prevent the boxes from coming off the wall.I would give this a five-star rating if it were not for the manufacturer’s errors. All in all, they are handsomely made and worth all the aggravation to see the cats play on their new playscape!

LOVE the shelfs, great concept. However, I don’t think the supports can’t take the weight of a cat over 6lbs….long term. It will fall out of the wall and leave quit large holes due to the drywall supports being metal. Screw them in gently, or you will strip the drywall and the shelf will fall out even quicker or just never be flush with the wall. If you can put it into a stud, that is your best option.

Our cat quite suddenly stopped using his vertical sisal scratcher and began destroying the furniture instead. I read some good advice about discerning whether my cat prefers to scratch vertically or horizontally, and realized this horizontal scratcher might be just what he needed. Success! Our kitty loves it so much we just bought a second one for another room. It is very sturdy and I suspect will last for a long time. Our cat is about 18 lbs and can fit very comfortably on this when placed on the floor like a “W” with the slightly curved ends up. Research how to tell which kind of scratcher might suit your cat, and if it’s a horizontal one- this is your product!
